SEVEN NEW SWATCHBOOKS AVAILABLE FROM MOHAWK
Thursday 03. January 2013 - MOHAWK'S STREAMLINED PRODUCT OFFERING HAS BEEN ORGANIZED INTO SEVEN NEW SWATCHBOOKS
After a full year of planning and months of production, all seven of Mohawk’s new streamlined swatchbooks are in inventory and available for order.
The completely new system is more compact and easier to manage than traditional swatchbooks. “There’s a change in the way people are specifying paper and this new format addresses that. The system is compact for those seasoned specifiers who only need to be reminded of what’s available, yet has enough information to introduce the product lines to the newer specifiers. It’s a simple 1-2-3 pick the shade, the weight, and the finish tool,” said Jane Monast, Mohawk’s Director of Communications.
The 3″ x 9″ swatchbooks fold out to reveal color chips, finish and weight information and a waterfall. The back of the foldout houses an easy-to-reference stocking chart.
The streamlining of the swatchbooks also helps to uphold Mohawk’s sustainability efforts. The new slimmer format reduces the amount of paper used, and cuts the number of boxes shipped by more than half. “This new format is revolutionary and evolutionary for Mohawk. This design solution follows our sustainable approach to business, and allows us to get tools into the market with much less negative impact, and a considerable cost savings over traditional swatch systems,” said Monast.
Designed by Michael McGinn Design Office, the sampling system is as simple and logical as Mohawk’s new streamlined product offering. “The program was developed to be the most straightforward presentation of the product lines as possible, allowing the paper to be the hero,” said Michael McGinn.
