Wednesday 11. July 2012 - The "nose ring" definitely gets your attention on the 32nd Annual ACE Awards brochure. The outer cover sports an illustrated face and is then punched (through the nose) and held shut by a 1.5" binder ring. This quirky, carney-inspired catalog recognizes the best advertising and design work created by the Advertising Club of Edmonton (ACE).
Printed by McCallum Printing Group on Mohawk Loop Antique Vellum cover and Loop Silk text, the theme continues with portraits of the ACE president, awards chair and show judges dressed in varying freaky disguises. Marc Nipp and Patrick O’Kane of El Designo Inc. are responsible for the “creative leaps and finishing” and Bluefish Studios photographed all the winning work.
