Super7 Launches Business Card Collection on Mohawk Superfine
Monday 26. November 2012 - Today MOO.com launched the new Super7 collection for The Luxe Project. Designed by Brian Flynn,co-founder of Hybrid Design, and also the owner of and lead designer at Super7, a San Francisco-based designer toy and apparel company.
Flynn’s limited edition collection for The Luxe Project is titled Wall to Wail Ghostpapers, which features five patterns, each available in four colors orange, black, blue and green all digitally printed on Mohawk Superfine. The patterns on the backs of the cards are inspired by a poster Flynn designed called Haunted House.
“I tried to imagine larger world of that haunted house, specifically what the interior would look like. I decided that many of the rooms would be covered in custom wallpaper. The patterns for the Luxe cards are some of those different wallpapers,” said Flynn.
The Luxe Project is an initiative that teams brilliant creatives with Luxe Business Cards by MOO – and helps good causes as well. Each new designer’s collection is showcased for a month, and 100% of net proceeds from sales of that collection during that timeframe go to the designer’s charity of choice. The charity that Flynn and wife/design partner Dora Drimalas chose is OneSight, a family of charitable vision care programs dedicated to improving vision through outreach, research and education.
Wall to Wail Ghostpapers is a collection of Luxe Business Cards; high-quality, customizable and super-thick. Though the cards are designed for The Luxe Project, they are meant to be personalized. Information goes on the front of the cards; choose the complete collection of Flynn’s designs for the backs. Customers can chose one of four seam colors white, red, blue or black for the middle of the cards.
Earlier this year Mohawk partnered with MOO to create the first super thick, letterpress-quality paper line for use in the on-demand, digital print space Luxe Business Cards. MOO combines Mohawk Superfine with its patented Quadplex technology to fuse four sheets of paper together to create a 32pt card that’s three times as thick as most business cards that offers an optional center seam of color; red, blue, white or black.
Other designer collections printed on Mohawk Superfine for The Luxe Project include: Michael Osborne for Joey’s Corner; Dan Rubin for The Harmony Foundation; Katie Barcelona for GVI; Sean Adams for The Art Center College of Design; and Helen Friel for Battersea Home for Dogs & Cats.
To date The Luxe Project has raised over $20,000, and that’s well, a lot of business cards.
