Complete VDP line up gives Ricoh customers the edge

Tuesday 02. June 2009 - Visitors to the Ricoh stand at PacPrint can expect an exciting line up of the digital expert’s updated range of fully-integrated variable data printing solutions.

Featuring the latest releases of PrintShop Mail with Direct Smile, PrintShop Web and Planet Press, printers will be able to create a fully customised, cross-media offering for clients. The comprehensive range allows true personalisation that can offer new revenue streams and value add services – integrating with print and then beyond.
One such application, PrintShop Mail with Direct Smile, is a fast, efficient and easy to use professional software tool that makes personalised printing quick and easy. Providing a new and improved offering for print on demand businesses, PrintShop Mail allows variable data information to be optimised with advanced design.
Planet Press is another package that offers easy creation and printing of transactional, promotional and trans-promotional variable content documents. The need for pre-printed stationery is eliminated, while maintaining fast print speeds and easy prepress management.
Seamless integration of VDP solutions is achievable with PrintShop Web, also available through Ricoh. With PrintShop Web, personalised documents can be created in PrintShop Mail or Planet Press to be published to Print Shop Web, allowing print customers easy ordering and customising with predefined VDP templates.
“With our VDP range, data can be leveraged by printing variable images and text based upon unique information on each individual recipient”, said Kathy Wilson, General Manager of Production and Business Solutions for Ricoh Australia. “Printers can partner with their clients to develop targeted marketing campaigns that offer a true value-add service. Campaigns that have used these solutions have seen response rates as high as 40 percent.”
“These solutions offer new prospects at a time when every client and job that comes through the door is crucial,” she added.
“The key message we want to send out to the market is that we have a suite of products which work together cohesively to offer a highly effective VDP workflow. Solutions can be chosen based on your individual needs, then tailored and integrated into your print room to provide the best benefits possible,” Wilson continued. “This is done through our team of experts who will be on hand at PacPrint – so you can see it all for yourself.”
“There’s no doubt that VDP is increasing steadily as an important opportunity for the print on demand sector. That’s why we are offering the latest releases that offer a fully integrated approach that maximise what can be achieved with VDP,” she concluded.
