Ricoh introduces new small business colour laser printers

Tuesday 13. May 2008 - Ricoh has introduced two new colour multifunction laser printers for small to medium enterprises. The new Aficio SP C220S and SP C222SF models cater to the needs of smaller businesses and workgroups by offering a cost-effective colour solution and a more personalised approach to document management.

Designed to integrate easily in any office environment, the multifunctional Aficio SP C220S and SP C222SF are easy to set-up and manage. Both models combine network printing, copying and scanning, while the Aficio SP C222SF adds facsimile features that include a 3G transmission speed of three seconds, a 100-page memory capacity and 20 one-touch numbers and 50 speed dials for increased speed and convenience.

Unique to these new models is the adoption of a sophisticated ‘4 Drums Tandem’ technology which enables fast colour printing at the same speed as black & white. Regardless of which is selected, the Aficio SP C220s and SP C222SF offers high resolution printing speeds of 16 or 20 pages per minute respectively.

Laser quality printing at resolution up to 2400 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) make these new multifunction printers perfect for users printing reports, web pages, presentations and other documents requiring crisp, vivid colour. Furthermore, items can be scanned to resolutions of up to 1200 x 1200 dpi or converted to text for easy editing capabilities.

Featuring a sleek and compact design, the Aficio SP C220S and SP C222SF are best suited to remote offices, executive suites or other areas where desktop space it at a premium.

In addition to their small dimensional footprint, these Aficio multifunctionals also enable businesses to reduce their carbon footprint. By using less than half the quantity of supplies of previous Ricoh models, the SP C220S and SP C222SF minimise any impact on the environment, while features including automatic duplex printing, scan-to technologies and TWAIN drivers, assist organisations in reducing paper usage and supply costs.
