FUJIFILM launches chemistry-free Brillia PRO-VN newspaper CTP plate

Friday 19. September 2008 - FUJIFILM today announces the launch of the Digital Violet Brillia PRO-VN plate, a chemistry-free violet CTP plate specifically developed for the newspaper market.

The launch of Brillia PRO-VN is part of wider strategy to introduce products that have a lower impact on the environment, and further emphasizes FUJIFILM’s commitment to sustainability. In particular, the launch of Brillia PRO-VN means FUJIFILM now has the widest range of plate production solutions (chemistry-free and processless plates together with conventional CTP plates and intelligent plate processors) dedicated to helping printers reduce their impact on the environment.

The Brillia PRO-VN newspaper plate utilizes FUJIFILM’s “high sensitivity polymerisation” technology, enabling newspaper printers to achieve the same levels of productivity from PRO-VN as they achieve from conventional processed violet CTP plates. In addition, Brillia PRO-VN benefits from FUJIFILM’s patented MultiGrain technology which ensures optimum ink/water balance and advanced handling performance. Based on the same technologies as FUJIFILM’s forthcoming Brillia HD PRO-V chemistry-free violet plate for general commercial print applications, Brillia PRO-VN enables newspaper printers to drastically reduce their chemistry usage and maintenance of the finishing unit.
