Superfos won two IF Packaging awards on Interpack 2008 – the sharp looking Paintainer and the new and improved SuperSeal

Friday 27. June 2008 - Superfos won two IF Packaging awards on Interpack 2008 - the sharp looking Paintainer and the new and improved SuperSeal

Increased shelf life
Superfos’ SuperSeal have received an IF Packaging Award within the packaging material category. SuperSeal features improved snap-on functionality on the lid made of new PP material and the PP peel-off and re-close functionality eliminates the need for aluminum seal during packaging. Therefore it is easier to recycle.

“The new combined PP lid and hermetic PP seal means that the lid opens and closes easily and tightly every time. The result is very low oxygen transmission rates and a shelf life of up to 60 days equal to that of packs with aluminum foil. In other words, this packaging concept provides the food safety that consumers demand,” says Annette Gottsche.

Sharp metallic look
Another award winning design is Superfos’ Paintainer which received an IF Packaging Award within the category of packaging design and functionality. The label solution with metallic look enables an eye-catching on-pack decoration that catches consumers’ attention. As the paint market still experiences a hardcore preference for metal packaging solutions in some segments, the paint manufacturers are now able to choose a sharp metal look without having to compromise on packaging performance.

“The label is produced in 100% PP material which means that all the supreme benefits of the plastic solution are maintained. Compared to metal, the advantages include increased flexibility, user-friendly open and closure-system and no risk of dents or rust-contamination. A design that will surely win you over,” Annette Gottsche ends.
