Ipex 2010 Roadshow in Germany Attracts Major Industry Players

Rainer Kuhn, Managing Director of PrintCity, delivers a presentation about how the company had prepared for previous Ipex exhibitions.

Monday 11. May 2009 - The organisers of Ipex 2010 successfully hosted the second leg of its international marketing tour aimed at existing and potential exhibitors, at Océ Printing System’s headquarters in Poing near Munich, Germany, on 28th April 2009.

Attended by major industry players, including Baldwin, Böwe Systec., Du Pont, Heidelberg, KBA, Konica Minolta, manroland, PrintCity, Xrite/Pantone and many more, the event was hailed a success by the delegates.

Presentations throughout the day provided the information needed to start preparing for the event and ensured that exhibitors are in a pole position to draw as many visitors to their stands as possible. Attendees also learned about new visitor features and event initiatives, the Ipex 2010 global marketing campaign, as well as co-marketing opportunities and free marketing tools to maximise their exhibition investment.

Attendees were particularly upbeat about the new personalised features on the Ipex 2010 website, www.ipex.org, as well as the recently launched Performance Index, an efficient and free consultancy service which enables exhibitors to easily identify and prioritise their show objectives and evaluate how well these objectives have been achieved by providing precise measurable results.

In an informative case study, Rainer Kuhn, Managing Director of PrintCity, outlined how the company had prepared for previous Ipex exhibitions, providing useful tips and recommendations on how to use public relations and other marketing tools.

Comments Nick Craig Waller, Ipex 2010 Marketing Director: “These roadshows have been designed to guide exhibitors through all the opportunities available in the run up to Ipex 2010. With such a strong focus on exhibition ROI in the current economic climate, it’s even more important to help exhibitors to get the most out of their investment. We were extremely pleased with the calibre of people attending the event and look forward to our next roadshow which will take place on Wednesday, 13th May 2009 at Chinaprint.”

Attendee quotes:
Siegfried Bradl, Marketing Director, Baldwin Germany GmbH: “During these challenging times, the Ipex team has really shown their support and helped all the participants to save costs by bringing their roadshow to Germany. It provided a useful overview of marketing and co-marketing activities to support company specific plans, as well as tips on operations and hotel accommodation. The case study from PrintCity was also extremely valuable. Overall, the event has set us on the path to making Ipex 2010 a success for our company, internally as well as externally, and helped us to ensure we can maximise our return on investment.”

Ulrich Börger, VP trade shows & events, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG: “The roadshow is a great initiative from the Ipex 2010 organisers as it provides us exhibitors with a great opportunity to network and hear all about the innovations and visitor features for Ipex 2010. I was particularly impressed by the co-marketing presentation and all the marketing tools we can embrace in maximising our participation at the show. We now need to start planning Ipex from a marketing perspective!”
