LOUSTAL IS THE 2010 BURGO GROUP ARTIST

Monday 16. November 2009 - The 2010 Burgo Group calendar has been presented to a press preview.

Loustal, the artist who painted the six artworks exclusively for the Group, was present at the press conference remarking the reasons of the evocative Papier Plaisir calendar’s title.
Jacques de Loustal is a well known comics illustrator and painter. His carnets de voyages, drawn in pen or painted in watercolours, are particularly notable.
The same carnets style can be found in the six watercolours painted for the Group’s calendar where the taste for painting is being narrated on the background of quiet Mediterranean seascapes where seasons follow by.

The Burgo Group calendar by Loustal continues the Group’s tradition of calendars made by famous artists – Moebius, Griffa and Muñoz among the most recent ones.
