Treviso mill is FSC certified

Monday 27. April 2009 - Treviso paper mill is now part of Burgo Group's plants to have been assessed FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chain-of-custody certification for purchase of paper pulp from controlled and FSC certified fibres, for designing, production, finishing and sale of uncoated, coated and special papers.

The plant is specialised in the production of machine-glazed kraft papers and in the extrusion of polythene and polypropylene on paper.

The machine-glazed kraft papers for packaging and lamination, mainly targeted at food sector, further increase the range of Burgo Group’s certified papers, thus pursuing a policy of responsible approach to resources and sustainable forestry management.

Forest Stewardship Council is an International non-governmental organisation that promotes and supports correct management of the world’s forests, in accordance with precise, strict principles in terms of compliance with legislation, safeguarding forestry resources, managing the environmental impact and recognition of social rights.
