Muller Martini Making Its Third Appearance at LabelExpo 2009 in Brussels

Alprinta-V web-offset printing press

Saturday 04. July 2009 - Hall 5, Stand D35, September 23 to 26, 2009

Offset printing with web widths of 500 mm and above is increasingly becoming the trend for label and package printing. Over recent years, Muller Martini has established itself as a strong provider in this segment, and will be presenting its latest innovation at LabelExpo – the StretchCorrect software package, a solution that considerably increases productivity for packaging printers.
This offset printing technology from Muller Martini offers infinitely variable sizes and allows labels and packaging printers to produce their products cost-effectively using offset printing. Thanks to its infinite size variability, the Alprinta V web-offset printing press can process almost any printing length required. There is no need to exchange the entire printing insert when changing the size; simply replace the quick make ready carbon-fiber cylinder.

StretchCorrect is used to offset print thin and stretch films and, with it’s intelligent servo drive technology, printers using the software package can have a direct impact on the required print result. StretchCorrect features printing-length and printing-width correction components, with the printing-length correction component enabling the length of the printing image to be modified when the machine is set up on the central control unit. This allows you to compensate for the famous snap-back effect that occurs with elastic substrates, i.e. the contraction of the printing image when it is not stretched out. Values are entered directly in millimeters and integrated flexo printing units are adjusted together with the offset press units. Printing-width correction allows the printing width of each individual printing unit to be changed, which is extremely useful for print orders where the colour coverage varies greatly from one printing unit to another as the printer can correct width deviations on any of the inking systems while the machine is running.
StretchCorrect enables targeted correction entries, allowing machine operators to quickly achieve high production performance thereby reducing production waste and setup times. Settings are saved with the job data, therefore setup time and production waste are further reduced when repeat jobs are received.

Come and see the benefits of this new offset technology from Muller Martini offering infinitely variable sizes. You can visit us from September 23 to 16, 2009 at Stand D35 in Hall 5 at LabelExpo in Brussels. We look forward to meeting with you. Grow with Productivity.
