ProLiner System with CoLiner Increases Flexibility

In conjunction with the CoLiner, the ProLiner will increase flexibility for the Brune-Mettcker Druck- und Verlags GmbH rotational products.

Brune-Mettcker Druck- und Verlags GmbH in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, inserts various amounts of supplements for ten newspapers, which is why the company favored a flexible Muller Martini solution including a ProLiner inserting system and CoLiner precollection system.

Brune-Mettcker Druck- und Verlags GmbH in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, prints three daily newspapers, including the “Wilhelmshavener Zeitung” (print run of 26,500 copies), the “Anzeiger für Harlingerland” (17,000) and the “Jeversches Wochenblatt” (9500), as well as five mid-week advertising journals (30,000 to 70,000) and two weekend papers (100,000 each). With the exception of one of the advertising journals, all the newspapers are owned by Brune-Mettcker Druck- und Verlags GmbH.

The advertising journals can include up to four times more inserts than the daily newspapers, which is why Brune-Mettcker Druck- und Verlags GmbH – a company that has placed its trust in Muller Martini systems for more than a quarter of a century – chose a ProLiner inserting system featuring eight feeders and a CoLiner precollection system featuring four feeders. Both systems will be installed this summer.

As the CoLiner can be easily docked to the ProLiner inserting line, it provides maximum flexibility in even the smallest of spaces. Overall operating costs are also reduced, as the system only activates when it is actually needed, thereby cutting down on wear and energy consumption. As with the ProLiner, the CoLiner is also modular and can be expanded similarly to the main line if required.
