Hohner – perfection in postpress shows it: JDF makes it possible

Friday 04. July 2008 - Hohner Maschinenbau GmBH presents video to evidence JDF and its advantages in the daily work of a printing company.

Hohner Maschinenbau GmbH, the rising machinery builder of saddle binders for wire stitching, is proving its’ desire to remain in the forefront of post press innovation.
Recently, the HSB 10.000, the fully automized version of the Hohner saddle binder series has reached JDF capability.
This highly efficient and user friendly HSB 10.000 can now also support the efficiency of the JDF/CIP4 network from prepress to postpress.

The first connection has been successfully effected at Druckhaus Berlin Mitte.
Time savings, reduction of error quote and cost reduction of up to 20% have been the key drivers for the fast implementation of JDF capability of this fully automized saddle binder.
Time is money, that is one of the key messages of the Hohner development team and this philosophy will pay off positively for the customers.
A deeper insight in the advantages of JDF and the implementation of this concept in the daily work of a printing company has been provided at Hohner’s drupa booth by a guest speaker Mr. Herbert Preißler, CEO of Druckhaus Berlin Mitte, who highlighted JDF facts on the bases of a documentary video created by Hohner.
This video is unique in the industry in its pragmatic approach of praxis oriented training on the job.
“We, more and more got the impression, everybody is talking about JDF without an actual clear understanding of what this means for a printing company and in what the benefits would consist of, ” Susanne Schöllhorn, Marketing Executive for Hohner says. “The extremely positive feedback we received proves, that with this video we apparently have created a useful tool for printing schools and institutions and we hope to contribute in this a positive way to the many decisions in favour of JDF in the future”.
