The Balkans Printing Industry Meets at manroland

During drupa, manroland invited around 120 representatives from printing companies in the Balkan region to its exhibition stand in Düsseldorf on 31 May for an exchange of views. The meeting focused on trends and perspectives in the printing and media industry.
The list of countries attending was long: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Hungary accepted manrolands invitation. Information exchange among the printers of the Balkan States is taking place more and more often. Gerd Finkbeiner, Chairman of the Board manroland AG, emphasised that his company is prepared to fully support the printing industry in the region in improving quality, profitability, competitiveness, and the development of young talent. The meeting was rounded off by a printing demonstration of the ROLAND 700 HiPrint especially for the Balkan visitors.

Following events held in Velingrad, Bulgaria in 2006 and Athens, Greece one year ago, the third Balkans Print Forum is soon to take place when managers and members of the national printing associations meet in Istanbul on 23 and 24 October to discuss further trends in the printing and media industry and outlooks for the future.
