Change in the media world is accelerating, as digital media consumption and advertising continues to grow while traditional media remains stable or is in decline in many markets, according to World Digital Media Trends 2010 from the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).

The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) announced today the successful startup of the Solution Linear Low Density Polyethylene II train (SPE II). SPE II is owned by Siam Polyethylene Co., Ltd, a joint venture of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and Siam Cement Group (SCG), which is located at the existing Map-Ta-Phut manufacturing facility in Rayong Province, Thailand. It is expected that products from SPE II will be commercially available in November 2010.
