Nipson proposes cost-effective solution for high volume variable data label printing
Tuesday 29. September 2009 - Nipson SAS ('Nipson') announced today that it will be demonstrating the unique capabilities of the DIGIFlex, its new black & white digital press, at this year's edition of Labelexpo Europe.
This bi-annual event is the largest international trade fair for the label, product decoration, web printing, and converting industry. It is attended by the most prominent suppliers, attracting visitors from all over the world.
“Nipson offers high performance total solutions with the added advantage of being cost-effective, which is definitely a plus in these times of recession,” says Nipson Marketing Communications Manager Martine Berger, “At Labelexpo we want to demonstrate that the DIGIFlex offers the best in terms of quality, productivity, and price for high volume variable data label printing on heat sensitive substrates.”
Integrated configuration and live demonstrations Nipson will exhibit its DIGIFlex in action in an integrated label printing solution. Controlled by Nipson PrintServer, the DIGIFlex will be complemented by a Kern unwinder and a Spedo cutter. The configuration will also feature a camera control system supplied by 2J Printing Services.
During live demonstrations the DIGIFlex will be printing self-adhesive labels on a range of heat sensitive substrates up to 300 gsm.
“Labelexpo is a great opportunity to demonstrate once again the unique and versatile capabilities of our new DIGIFlex,” explains Martine Berger. “Like all our solutions it combines non-impact dry toner-based magnetography and proprietary cool xenon flash fusing, making it ideal for printing on heat sensitive stock such as self-adhesive labels, plastics, polyesters, and foils. With maximum uptime, printing at top speeds of 81.7 to 104 meters per minute, it offers just the productivity needed for high volume variable data printing. What is more, it features progressive and automatic speed adjustment to synchronize with the data flow rate and the finishing equipment, while an operator-controlled variable speed feature allows dynamic adjustment of the speed to ensure optimum print quality on any substrate. These features help avoiding unnecessary starts and stops, ensure truly cost-effective continuous production, and also reduce waste.”
Designed for flexibility, the DIGIFlex can be easily integrated with existing pre- and post-processing equipment as testified by the integrated solution shown. It can be used in multiple configurations, i.e. Simplex, Single Engine Duplex or Twin Engine Duplex, and roll-to-roll, roll-to-cut or roll-to-stack. At Labelexpo, the DIGIFlex will be demonstrated in simplex configuration.
Visit Nipson in the Digital Hall Labelexpo Europe 2009 will be held from September 23 to 26, 2009 at Brussels Expo (Belgium). This year’s exhibition space even exceeds that of 2007, which was a record-breaking year. Nipson will be exhibiting at booth F30 in Hall 9, a new hall co-sponsored by Nipson that is entirely dedicated to digital label printing solutions, a first for the European edition. This hall will also house the Digital Label Experience conference lounge, staging presentations and panel sessions that will highlight new technologies and opportunities, and elaborate on how digital printing significantly contributes to cost reduction and improved efficiency. Nipson has scheduled live demonstrations every afternoon, followed by a French wine tasting.
