Technotrans SE acquires shares in GWK Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH

Tuesday 17. July 2018 - technotrans SE has increased its participation in gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH by two percent to now 100 percent. Reinhard Zeppenfeld, the founder of the company, has now sold the last shares held by him.

“The full takeover of the holdings in gwk represents a logical move for us,” declared Dirk Engel, Chief Executive Officer of technotrans SE. The company had previously acquired a 98 percent stake in gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH with registered office in the Sauerland town of Meinerzhagen. The participation has been included in consolidation by technotrans AG since that time. The completion of the transaction means all shares are now held by technotrans SE.
“technotrans and gwk are an excellent fit,” explained Reinhard Zeppenfeld. The successful integration of gwk’s business in the fields of cooling, temperature control, water technology and tool technology has unlocked highly promising opportunities for the company. This is also evidenced by the positive business performance since the takeover two years ago. “gwk is my life’s work and I am pleased I can now leave the entire company in good hands after 50 years.”

The signing of the agreement took place on July 5, 2018. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
