technotrans AG acquires Reissner Cooling Energy GmbH

technotrans AG is acquiring the business operations of Reisner Cooling Energy GmbH, based in Holzwickede, for a purchase price in the middle six-figure range. The sale by way of an asset deal is being concluded by the administrator Dr Christoph Schulte-Kaubrügger appointed for Reisner Cooling Energy GmbH. With the acquisition of this manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, technotrans AG among other things increases its market shares in the cooling technology area in the plastics and metal processing industry. All 33 Reisner employees will be taken on, and the Holzwickede location will in addition be preserved.
“The takeover of Reisner Cooling Energy means that not only are we strengthening our market position in the plastics processing industry; it also expands the range of technology and services that our technotrans Group as a whole has on offer in the area of industrial cooling,” commented Dirk Engel, Chief Executive Officer of technotrans AG. 
Reisner designs, builds and services cooling systems for energy-efficient process cooling in all areas of industrial production. The customer base comprises companies in the plastics, metal and food processing sectors, as well as the chemical industry. Reisner latterly posted annual revenue in the low single-digit millions.
Reisner filed for bankruptcy in April 2018. The business operations are now being acquired by the Sassenberg-based technotrans Group by way of an asset deal. The purchase price is being financed from technotrans’ own resources. The signing of the corresponding agreements by the parties took place on June 1, 2018. The transaction is to be completed with economic effect from June 1, 2018. technotrans is acquiring the technical expertise, brand, customer base and extensive service portfolio from Reisner. Under the asset deal, the entire workforce of Reisner Cooling Energy GmbH is being taken on and the headquarters in Holzwickede will also be kept going.
In the future, the company will operate as a subsidiary of technotrans AG under the name of Reisner Cooling Solutions GmbH. The new Managing Director will be Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Imenkämper, who has many years of experience in Reisner’s areas of business.
