New POLAR Cutting System for Meinke Print Media

Almost six years ago, POLAR supplied the first fully-automatic PACE cutting system in Germany to the Neuss-based company Meinke Print Media Partner. Since then the system has been working continuously in two or even three shifts, without any failures at all.
Meinke has recently been operating the Printbase.de printing platform which offers the complete order process on-line, including the handling of payments. In this way, the company aims to expand its service and also reach its customers via the internet. To process the increased cutting volume, Meinke has now bought another POLAR L-R-137-T Cutting System.
Meinke Managing Director, Dirk Ackerknecht is very satisfied with the latest business development: “Now we are completely on course for success. The latest crisis only had us worried temporarily. With the new internet platform we are already seeing a substantial increase in incoming orders. We have not been able to handle all of the additional work with the PACE system alone. Based on our experience to date, POLAR is and will remain our preferred partner. We opted for the L-R-137-T system, because it is very flexible and efficiently processes products in the formats around 70 x 100 cm /40″. It was also a priority that Compucut perfectly converts prepress data into cutting programs, especially when dealing with combined sheets. It is already becoming apparent that this investment is paying off, too.”
