The Color Company upgrades its cutting capability

The Color Company will install a Polar 78X guillotine before the year end, enabling it to meet cutting demand following the installation of a new Speedmaster SM 52-5 earlier in the year and to cope with B2 work in future if required.

Wednesday 26. November 2008 - The Color Company will install a Polar 78X guillotine before the year end, enabling it to meet cutting demand following the installation of a new Speedmaster SM 52-5 earlier in the year and to cope with B2 work in future if required.

Ashley Wainwright, managing director, says: “You need a good guillotine to fulfil the order and get the job out on time. The latest Polar X series is probably the best value machine on the market to date.”

The Cheltenham printer, which operates out of a 6,000 sq ft purpose built factory, is replacing an ageing Polar 76EM and it says the larger format will give it capacity for a bigger sheet in future although whether or when it will move to B2 remains to be seen.

The Polar 78X is a popular format guillotine because they are robust, reliable and cut well. This generation of cutters features the Optkinife easy knife changing capability.

“We look at options each time we buy new equipment but having used Heidelberg we know that Heidelberg not only produces great machines but has the right service levels and commitment as well,” says Mr Wainwright.

The Color Co has many blue chip accounts throughout the Midlands.
