In times of crisis German printers re-invest in Q.I. Press Controls

Monday 08. June 2009 - Investments are not easily made in current times of crisis: only when the benefits compensate the costs in a positive way. Q.I. Press Controls’ solutions are one of those objects for investment that German printer consider of additional value for streamlining their printing process. It delivers the improvement in quality en efficiency on the one hand and recovers the investment in a short term on the other hand. The return of investment period of Q.I. Press Controls’ solutions is often less than one year!

Recently the following German printers have decided to (re)invest in Q.I. Press Controls’ solution, because of very good previous experiences within their own company or with other printers:

Weiss-Druck GmbH, Monschau, has switched over to Q.I. Press Controls completely. Did they already have IDS installed on a 72 page and 80 page manroland Lithoman. They have now placed an additional order for mRC, IDS and IQM, including IQMobile for two 48 page existing manroland Lithoman presses.

Druckerei Vetters GmbH, Radeburg has ordered mRC and IDS including soft proofing for their new manroland Rotoman. Druckerei Vetters was one of Q.I. Press Controls’ first customers to order IRS in 2001 for their Zirkon press. This system is still in operation on a daily basis without any failures. The second order came in 2007 for IRS and IDS for the brand new Polyman. Just recently Druckerei Vetters once again gave Q.I. Press Controls the order to install their solutions on the their new Rotoman press.

Because of the results achieved on the previous installed IRS register system on their KBA Express press in 2005, also Straubinger Tagblatt, Straubing, once again invested in a register system of Q.I. Press Controls. They will install mRC on their new KBA Commander, consisting of 4 towers and 2 folders, to control both colour and cut-off register.

Not only additional instalments are made. Druckhaus Wittich KG, Herbstein will experience the advantages of Q.I. Press Controls’ closed loop register system for the first time. Manroland placed an initial order for mRC to automatically control colour- and cut-off register on their MAN Cromoman 70 press. This new newspaper press is a single width press consists of 3 towers and 2 folders. Druckhaus Wittich is part of Linus Wittich, a family business that owns 12 publishing houses and 7 printhouses. The printing site in Herstein exists since 1970 and over the years they have climbed from 21 titles to more then 100.
