MGI USA ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF GBC AUSTRALIA AS AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR FOR AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Tuesday 21. October 2008 - MGI Digital Graphic Technology/MGI USA, the multi-substrate (paper and plastic) digital press and finishing solutions manufacturer, announced today that they have appointed GBC Australia as the authorized distributor for Australia and New Zealand.

GBC Australia has been the country’s market leader in document finishing, business mail and presentation products for the past 50 years, providing solutions for a wide range of industries including government, office users, education users, commercial users and home users. The company emphasizes superior service and support, with a multi-million dollar National Distribution Center and boasting an Australia-based staff of over 170.

GBC Worldwide is a leader in the global document finishing industry. It services hundreds of thousands of customers in over 100 countries, and its brand names (including GBC, Quartet, Ibico, Fordigraph, Pelikan and Artline) are well known for quality and reliability across a broad range of markets. In 2005, GBC merged with ACCO Brands Pty Ltd, a $2 billion organization listed on the New York Stock Exchange. This merger enabled GBC to provide their worldwide customers with the broadest product line in the office products and finishing industry.

Together, MGI USA and GBC Australia present a total digital printing and finishing solution for the Australian and New Zealand graphics markets. With full showrooms to be located in Sydney and Melbourne, GBC Australia will be providing sales and technical support for MGI’s full line of digital solutions, including the Meteor DP60 ProR (4-color digital press for paper and plastic), UVarnishR (offline auto-feed UV/IR coater), PressCard ProR (hot platen lamination unit), PunchCard ProR (credit card format die cutter) and the PowerLam (dual hot roll laminator).

MGI USA will next be showing their latest digital innovations at GraphExpo, the most comprehensive graphic communications show in the Americas, held October 26-29 in Chicago, Illinois.
