Wednesday 18. June 2008 - Entrepreneur with a Nose for Market Trends

Entrepreneurial courage coupled with a nose for market trends will pay. In 1989, Andreas Arnold set up shop as a printer, today he employs 26 people, and, at drupa 2008, is investing in an eight-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint.

In future, production at Druckerei Arnold, south of Berlin, will be done on an eight-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint – another milestone in the history of Arnold’s company. With the perfector, it will be printing products that span all segments: commercial jobs like mailings and brochures, books, labels, calendars and folding cartons.

Why a manroland long perfector?

The Arnold company has been using long perfectors since 1999. Thoroughly experienced with long perfectors of another make, this printer has now for the first time opted for a ROLAND 700 HiPrint perfector. Why the change? Andreas Arnold: “Customers of printing companies order print jobs with ever shorter delivery dates, at the same time, their demands on the printing quality keep rising. I considered different long perfectors; the ROLAND 700 HiPrint gives me the quality my discriminating customers demand.” A decisive plus of long perfectors: they can be counted on for flexibility because often printers carry out jobs in absolute record time so the print product can be delivered just in time. The advantage for printers: they can sell shorter delivery times profitably and change their product portfolio strategically. After all, a long perfector can also print seven- or eight-color jobs.
