Wednesday 11. June 2008 - Groundbreaking step forward in high-volume printing

From the very first day, the currently largest LITHOMAN has performed exceptionally well: with a web width of 2.25 meters and 80 pages of DIN A4 long-grain on the cylinder’s circumference, the commercial press is a best-seller. In future, the benchmark in terms of high-volume printing will also be up and running in Russia.

The trend towards XXL printing continues unbroken in a time when output is a crucial factor in a print shop’s commercial success. At drupa, Chechovskaja Polygraphitscheskaja Kompania ordered an 80-page LITHOMAN. The printing company from Chechov, south of Moscow, is investing on the premises of what used to be Russia’s biggest gravure print shop. Here the LITHOMAN will be producing a broad spectrum of magazines. The LITHOMAN is ideally suited for covering the high-volume range, optimally exploiting the available potential in regard to consistently high print quality, waste reduction and productivity with a very substantial degree of automation. To quote Michael Beier from manroland Russia: “This investment exemplifies the commitment to progress and the entrepreneurial vitality of Russia’s printing enterprises. As the market leader in high-volume printing, we are well placed to support this trend, and we will continue to assist our customers in their expansion projects”.
