Yesterday Spanish print enterprise Cartonajes Salinas, based in Alicante, placed an order with KBA for a six-colour Rapida 105 with coater, extended delivery, UV and hybrid capabilities, automatic plate changers, DensiTronic Professional and a raft of other automation modules. The 90-employee business is the regional specialist for the production of the high-grade paper that brand manufacturers use to adorn their packaging. Representatives from Salinas trawled the stands checking out various makes and models of presses at Drupa before opting for KBA. The reasons they gave were the Rapida 105’s advanced level of automation and KBA’s high reputation among Spanish printers.
