Fujifilm is currently in 7th position in the Artemis Transat.

Wednesday 21. May 2008 - Speaking to Alex Bennett earlier, he said: "We had a wind change this morning about 4am so I’ve been tacking to take advantage of this. The motion on the boat is very rough at the moment."

With the ice gate about 350 miles away, Alex is remaining determined. He adds: “The ice gate is a mandatory part of the course – a 300 mile long line set at 40 degrees north by the organisers which we must sail beneath. It presents its own problems with the weather and the wind and so you have to be incredibly tactical about it and also flexible to take advantage of any changes in the weather.”

Alex is still feeling positive although he admits that he is getting tired. “Mentally, I’m fine and I’m fit and strong and Fujifilm’s going well but even little jobs are requiring more effort now so I can tell my body is taking the strain. I’m still in it to win it though!”
