The Artemis Transat – Fujifilm yacht – day one
Tuesday 13. May 2008 - The Fujifilm yacht got off to a great start in the Artemis Transat race yesterday setting off in second place. Speaking to Alex Bennett this morning, he was sailing in thick fog with a Force 4 North Easterly wind sailing at 9 knots.
Alex, clearly enjoying the race so far and his breakfast of noodles and soy sauce said: “We set off well and then hit a wind hold where I think we came off worst – so last night was difficult sailing. Everything is moving this morning and the boat is going well. Were looking in fine shape and looking forward to todays sailing.”
Fujifilm is currently in 9th position.
