RadTech Europe Announces Conference Programme

RadTech Europe (RTE), the industry association supporting UV and EB curing technology, announces the conference programme of RadTech Europe 13, its 25th Jubilee Conference and Exhibition that will take place on 15 – 17h of October in Basel, Switzerland. The conference will highlight some of the innovations the UV/EB technology has delivered so far and look to the future for the innovations to come. The parallel exhibition during these days, is the leading business event for UB/EB curing in Europe. New Operating Division Performance Materials combines BASF’s material know how

BASF created the new Performance Materials Division in January of 2013. In keeping with differentiation on the basis of business model and customer requirements, units with a customer and industry sector focus are now separated more clearly from units that focus on chemistry and production. The new Division Performance Materials combines as never before in one entity materials know-how and the innovative, customized plastics from BASF.

Long-term Off-take Agreement for Polypropylene and Sulfur in Vietnam

Marubeni Corporation has concluded an off-take agreement with Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Limited Liability Company, the operator of the Nghi Son Refinery & Chemical Complex in Vietnam, for its products, namely polypropylene and sulfur. Idemitsu-Kosan Co., Ltd, one of the largest oil refineries and distribution companies in Japan, Mitsui Chemicals, Inc., a major Japanese petrochemical company, Kuwait Petroleum International and PetroVietnam are expected to start construction of the complex and aim to begin commercial production in 2017.
