One of South Australias leading country newspapers, the Mount Barker Courier, has made the transition to chemistry-free plate technology by converting its existing Agfa Advantage CTP line to run the new N92-VCF plate from Agfa Graphics.
ECRM today announced they will spotlight the new ECRM MAKO 800 at the upcoming IPEX 2010 (NEC Birmingham UK, May 18-25). The MAKO 800 is an 8-up platesetter with dramatically enhanced optics. The new optics eliminate previously perceived quality gaps when comparing Violet and Thermal CTP imaging. Stockport printer TR Shone has replaced a CtP system from Apex with a Suprasetter A52 device from Heidelberg. The purchase is funded through a consumables deal enabling the company to draw off Saphira Chem-free plates to meet the demands of a short run, response business.
