ECRM TO FEATURE NEW MAKO 800 AND WORKMATES PRODUCTS AT IPEX 2010

ECRM today announced they will spotlight the new ECRM MAKO 800 at the upcoming IPEX 2010 (NEC Birmingham UK, May 18-25). The MAKO 800 is an 8-up platesetter with dramatically enhanced optics. The new optics eliminate previously perceived quality gaps when comparing Violet and Thermal CTP imaging. ECRM also announced the demonstrations of their new workflow products WorkMates 4.0 and RIPmate Plus. The company will be exhibiting in Hall 11, Stand E230.

TR Shone switches to Suprasetter CtP for environmental benefits

Stockport printer TR Shone has replaced a CtP system from Apex with a Suprasetter A52 device from Heidelberg. The purchase is funded through a consumables deal enabling the company to draw off Saphira Chem-free plates to meet the demands of a short run, response business.

FATHER OF MODERN CTP TECHNOLOGY SCOOPS INTERNATIONAL IPEX 2010 CHAMPIONS IN PRINT AWARD

The organisers of Ipex 2010 have announced the Father of Modern CTP Technology, Dan Gelbart, as the latest winner of its international Champions in Print Awards. Mr Gelbart, the eighth industry pioneer to be honoured with this accolade, has been awarded for being instrumental in the move from analogue to digital pre-press printing.
