MCOR TECHNOLOGIES APPOINTS ZIP-BIT AS AUTHORIZED RESELLING PARTNER IN SILICON VALLEY
Monday 15. July 2013 - Mcor Technologies Ltd, manufacturer of the only line of desktop paper-based 3D printers in the world announced today that it has appointed Zip-Bit, Inc. as its authorized reselling partner in the innovative, technology-rich Silicon Valley region.
Located in Santa Clara, CA, Zip-Bit will sell and service Mcor’s IRIS and Matrix 300+ portfolio of paper-based 3D printers primarily to technology companies, including product designers, medical device manufacturers and healthcare providers, as well as architects across Silicon Valley. They will also provide print services for consumers, entrepreneurs and other professionals using Mcor’s full color 3D printing and rapid prototyping technology.
Zip-Bit’s Geoffrey Doyle, has over 10 years experience as a venture capitalist specializing in early stage businesses, including 3D CAD software companies, and has recently taken on the position of Zip-Bit CEO. Doyle joins Zip-Bit CTO and founder, John Moorewood, who has over 10 years of experience in 3D printing and scanning. Leveraging the deep expertise of Doyle and his team, Zip-Bit will also provide consulting services to start-up entrepreneurs, as well as large companies who want to better understand the capabilities provided by 3D printing in order to effectively implement their ideas.
“The 3D printing industry has been missing an efficient, low-cost, full-color 3D printer for people who want to print realistic concept models early and often in the design and development process,” said Doyle. “Mcor 3D printers are the only ones to perfectly meet these requirements in order to rapidly reduce costs for professionals throughout Silicon Valley.”
“Silicon Valley is a key market for us and we have an office in San Jose,” said Dr. Conor MacCormack, co-founder and CEO of Mcor Technologies. “Zip-Bit’s proven 3D printing expertise, combined with their ability to assist early stage businesses and other entrepreneurs, will provide virtually unlimited business potential and bring affordable, professional-quality 3D printing to everyone in the region.”
Zip-Bit joins a growing number of companies who are taking advantage of Mcor’s partner program. Mcor has seen phenomenal growth in their channel; “the number of partners has increased by 1200% from July 2012 and as a result sales growth is about 600% for the same period,” added MacCormack. Mcor continues to seek channel partners worldwide and has very aggressive growth plans for 2013.
