OMET CLAIMS BEST DEMOS AT LABELEXPO EUROPE 2009
Tuesday 13. October 2009 - with register control from 30 to 200 m/min at top print quality
OMET enjoyed a highly successful Labelexpo in Brussels, according to Sales Director, Marco Calcagni. He commented: “The number and quality of visitors was excellent. We counted more than 1000 solid enquiries over the four days of the expo, and sold five presses. The demonstrations on the X-Flex were particularly appreciated No other press manufacturer at Labelexpo was able to show register stability from 30 to 200 m/min throughout acceleration and deceleration. We enlarged the register mark 75x on the screen so that people could see that the print quality never dropped. “
OMET had three narrow web presses on demonstration, including the new digital version of its best-selling X-Flex line, known as the X-Jet. Described by company President, Angelo Bartesaghi as: “The print of the future,” he claimed: “There were two reasons for driving the research and development of the X-Jet 430. The first is to meet the requirement for shorter and shorter print runs, which we can personalise and add variable data to inline, and the second is to reduce downtime.” At Labelexpo, the X-Jet was shown working with Omets new MonoTwin Cut device, which uses a single magnetic cylinder for all label sizes.
Also making its international debut at Labelexpo was the high performance VaryFlex press running an offset and flexo combination. The print demonstration showed how simply and quickly a job change with different sizes could be accomplished using the cassette system. In addition, OMET showed its new VaryFlex 850 mm unit, designed for customers looking at the mid web sector.
Concluding, Mr Calcagni commented: “Our motto is Innovation with Passion and many of the visitors to our stand said that OMET was showing the most interesting new technology at Labelexpo. From the enquires we received, we are confident of securing good sales figures in the last quarter of 2009, and have high expectations for next year.”
