The University of Amsterdam and the University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands Choose Aleph from Ex Libris
Monday 27. October 2008 - Multilingual support and the ability to manage very large collections were key factors in the selection of the Aleph integrated library system
Ex Libris Group is pleased to announce that the library of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the Media Library of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA)the University of Applied Scienceshave selected the Aleph integrated library system (ILS) from Ex Libris to replace their LBS systems, expanding the worldwide Aleph community to 2,250 institutions.
Aleph provides academic, research, and national libraries with the efficient, user-friendly tools and workflow support they need to meet the increasing requirements of the industry today and in the future. Customizable components accommodate the requirements of institutions of all types and sizes, from single-branch libraries to the largest of consortia. Installed in scores of countries worldwide, Aleph offers full Unicode support, which enables both public and staff users to interface with the system in their preferred language.
