The Direkt Com GmbH, based in the Bavarian city of Mertingen, has enjoyed a good reputation as a creative hotbed for mailings par excellence for many years. Direkt Com is the Direct Mail specialist inside the Georg Kohl Group, recipient of the Druck&Medien Award in the category “Most innovating company (technology) 2007” and also in 2005 Direkt Com won the position of Direct Mail Producer of the Year. Direkt Com develops creative print solutions for direct marketing and promotions – delivering the power of personalization and individualization as well as optimal print and processing technology. In 2006 and 2007 the company invested in 4 new Nipson VaryPress 200 arranged into 2 Twin Engine Duplex lines, with an operational performance of 90 m/min each. High quality mailings can be printed in the shortest time with more than 2,400 A4 pages per minute in Duplex and with 600 x 600 dpi. Direkt Com produces more than 150 million A 4 pages Duplex per year – diversified mailings with applied and integrated labels, scratch-off-labels and hologram labels as well as self mailers and print specials.
The German magazine “Deutscher Drucker” interviewed the Managing Director of Direkt Com, Mr. Kurt Pohl, and asked for the reasons about his investment in further Nipson printers:

“Our investments in quality and productivity are important for the development of our market position. The decision to choose Nipson depended on the fulfillment of our demands: High print image definition, maximum speed in personalization and maximum media width. Another important feature is the broad range of paper: We use very different, mostly matte-coated papers. The low electrostatic charges facilitate the efficient post processing of our creative direct mail pieces. Alternatives to Nipson were of course checked. But we have been working with Nipson since the mid-nineties and we see the company complying with our requirements most suitably. “
