DecTek installs Titanium 330-R All-in-One Digital Solution for Label Cutting

Monday 08. January 2024 - To help facilitate significant growth in their labels division DecTek are expanding their in-house manufactured product portfolio. This includes a Konica Minolta digital label press and Titanium 330-R reel to reel digital label cutter.

The Titanium 330-R was purchased from International Graphic Supplies who are a Monmouthshire based machinery supplier. Including this machine, a total of nine cutters from the Titanium range have been installed at DecTek.
The Titanium 330-R targets the label market with an all-in-one digital label cutter that digitally die-cuts any shape label, cold laminates, remove the excess label material around each die-cut shape and slits. Thus, offering everything required to professionally cut and finish labels.
Auto deviation correction ensures compensating, not only for the start of the label production but also any skew or scale issues that may have been caused by material instability. Neat and precise feeding into a cold laminating function in a single pass. Eight automatic alignment cutting heads produce an impressive cutting speed of 12 m/min.
The finished product is automatically collated into a Reel and nine slitting knives cut at 60 m/min with waste removed. The Reel can be rewound or cut to sheet form up to 1000 mm in length.
DecTek Managing Director Mike Beese commented following the Titanium 330-R installation “This is a real game changer for the digital label market and a revolution for short run requirements.
Customers are no longer required to place large minimum quantity orders and waste many of the labels they receive, because digital printing and cutting has no minimum order quaintly. Typically, many of these digitally printed jobs contain lots of different designs or variations, have a variety of different container or pack sizes, and seasonal changes”.
Peter Flynn Managing Director at IGS comments “We’re delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with DecTek by announcing the installation of the first Titanium 330-R in the UK. This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing best in class finishing solutions to DecTek, a valued partner.
Their investment in our cutting technology over the past four years is a testament to their dedication to growth and excellence. We look forward to further strengthening our partnership and supporting their continued success.’
Priced at £69,000.00 + VAT which includes delivery, installation, training and twelve months’ parts and labour warranty makes for a quick ROI. This will be of great interest to anyone involved in the labels industry, I’m sure.”
