DecTek Installs Fifth Titanium Cutter and IGS awarded European distributor of the year

Thursday 24. February 2022 - The first Titanium 1816 cutter was installed in June 2020, since making this initial investment DecTek have installed a Titanium 3032, two Titanium 2516 with routers which support their labels, signage and short run packaging department.

DecTek has recently taken delivery of their fifth Titanium cutter: A Titanium 2516 with router.
In January 2021 DecTek installed a Titanium 0806 to enhance their digital print department.
DecTek Owner Mike Beese says: “During the summer of 2020 we took the opportunity to review our business and devised a growth strategy for us and our partners. We have invested over £1m in new equipment and took on extra production space. The business now has an enviable range of digital print, cut and finishing technologies”
He continued “The IGS team are a major part of this strategy, their Titanium cutter price and performance model coupled with the Titanium machine reliability has allowed us to expanded our products, to include short run packaging, custom packaging, bespoke boxes, and transit packaging. We are targeting “low volume, high frequency” work, typically with run lengths below 5,000.”

In January IGS received the award for 2021 European Distributor of the year from JWEI the manufacturer of the Titanium cutters. With twenty-one installations during the year the Titanium range has gain traction with many blue chip companies.
Peter Flynn, Managing Director IGS comments “This award is a landmark achievement that we are particularly proud of. From a standing start in 2020 we now have forty-one installations nationwide. It was fitting that we received the award from Mike, who has assisted us with many of our orders, from customers who have visited the DecTek site to see the Titanium cutters in operation.
We can now compete and win orders that would have traditionally gone to the main stream suppliers. Our install base includes high profile companies such as DecTek, Hamptons, Printed.Com, The Colour House and Zenith Print and Packaging. As our customer base has now identified the Titanium technical specification and affordability is very hard to match.
2022 has started well for us with January orders for a Titanium 3032 with router from the Banner Company and a Titanium 2516 with router from Flexi Labels.
In March we will launch a Titanium 0912 which has a 900 x 1200 mm cutting area with the ability to automatically feed 100 sheets. This will be of great interest to the packaging industry I’m sure.”
