Ricoh ranked Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations for the eleventh year in a row

Wednesday 25. January 2023 - Ricoh has been ranked as one of the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations for the eleventh time this year. Global 100 is a ranking of the worlds most sustainable companies published each year by the Canadian organisation Corporate Knights.

The companies are evaluated on the criteria of environmental awareness, social commitment and corporate governance, shares of sustainable revenues and sustainable investments, climate-relevant lobbying and sustainability-linked remuneration. The final results will be announced at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. For the 19th Global 100 ranking in 2023, 6,720 listed companies with revenues of more than one billion US dollars were assessed.
Jake Yamashita, President and CEO, says: “Since 2020, we have expanded our financial targets to include ESG* initiatives, these are one of Ricoh’s two company-wide management objectives alongside the financial targets themselves. This ranking confirms Ricoh’s ongoing and growing commitment to sustainability.”
Ricoh has identified seven material issues that the company addresses through its business operations in order to contribute to solving social problems and to create a sound management infrastructure. The Group’s 17 ESG goals are linked to each theme and integrated into all business operations.
Ricoh will continue to work towards solving social problems and achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
