Ricoh listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index 2020

Monday 30. November 2020 - The DJSI, which is compiled by the US company S&P Dow Jones, is the first global sustainability index to assess a companys sustainability based on its economic, environmental and social performance. The procedure behind it is considered particularly stringent due to the number of questions and the depth of information required.

Ricoh has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) 2020, one of the world’s most prestigious indices of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) performance.
This year’s list of the DJSI World Index comprises 323 companies, which were selected after a review of about 3,500 companies. Ricoh was ranked second out of 33 companies in the Computers & Peripherals and Office Electronics sector and received the best industry rating in the following eleven categories: Codes of Business Conduct, Supply Chain Management, Tax Strategy, Information Security, Innovation Management, Environmental Reporting, Environmental Policy & Management Systems, Climate Strategy, Social Reporting, Human Rights and Human Capital Development
In addition to the DJSI World Index, Ricoh is also listed in the DJSI Asia/Pacific Index for the third consecutive year.
In addition to identifying seven key issues, Ricoh has set 14 ESG priority targets and integrated these into the Group’s business strategies. Ricoh contributes to achieving the sustainable development goals agreed by the international community by addressing social challenges not only through business activities, but also by promoting development towards a sustainable society.
