“My thanks go to the employees of cognitas, who have been a valuable part of our company over the past seven years. During this time, they have excellently developed the business of cognitas and have been able to convince through steady, profitable growth.
The successful economic development of the last few years has been underpinned by a significant expansion of the digital product portfolio – which has not only strengthened ties with existing customers, but also enabled us to acquire many new customers.
We are pleased that with the agreement we have now reached, we can open up the ideal platform for cognitas GmbH to continue its success story and, as an essential part of Etteplan, to drive forward its strategic expansion and growth strategy in Germany,” said Rainer Führes, Managing Director & CEO of Canon Deutschland GmbH.

With the acquisition, we become a leading company in technical documentation in Germany and also strengthen our position in Europe. We thank Canon for developing cognitas so well during their ownership and look forward to adding almost 200 new experts to Etteplan,” said Juha Näkki, President & CEO of Etteplan.
