First Canon Labelstream 4000 in Germany at Oschatz Visuelle Medien

Friday 27. November 2020 - Canon announces that the first Canon LabelStream 4000 series is now available from Oschatz Visuelle Medien GmbH & Co. KG, one of the market leading full-service agencies for visual communication based in Niedernhausen near FrankfurtMain, Germany. By investing in the Canon UV inkjet label printing press, the company is further expanding its range of products in the label sector.

The flexibility of the Canon LabelStream 4000 series enables Oschatz Visuelle Medien to better serve the increasing deadline pressure and the growing demand for short runs. With reliable UV inkjet technology, the press achieves a productivity of 1,845 m²/h at a print width of 410 millimetres and a print speed of 75 m/min. Thanks to the integrated inline finishing and coating modules, turnaround times can be further reduced while maintaining high quality.
The company also benefits from the fact that the LabelStream 4000 is the first digital press to be certified to Fogra Process Standard Digital (PSD).
The certificate confirms that colour consistency, uniformity, sharpness of detail and continuity of print runs produced on the Canon LabelStream 4000 series meet the requirements of the Fogra PSD Print Check. As a result, Oschatz Visual Media can offer its customers excellent print quality and colour consistency for labels on a wide range of substrates. Opacity of up to 80 percent is achieved with the optional white ink channel. An orange colour channel can also be added to provide access to a wider range of applications.
The Canon LabelStream 4000 series is Oschatz’s fifth investment in Canon systems and further strengthens the relationship with Canon as a solution provider. The new press will be installed in a hybrid configuration with flexo printing unit, cold foil and automated semi-rotary die-cutter in addition to the 5-colour (CMYK+W) digital printing unit, alongside the two Canon Colorado 1640 and two other Canon Colorado 1650 large format printers at the 5,000 square metre production site. With the Canon high-performance UV gel large format printers, Oschatz Visuelle Medien has made a name for itself as a leading supplier of digital printing for marketing applications. From POS equipment to artistic prints for its customers in the arts, culture, retail, industry and cosmetics sectors.
Oschatz Visuelle Medien was founded in 1922 as a specialised photo laboratory and today employs over 60 people in the areas of creation and design, pre-press, print production, logistics, installation and decoration. The company’s approach to its customers is based on high-quality prints and excellent customer service, to which the reliability of production makes a decisive contribution.
In order to offer its customers this excellent service, investment in leading technologies is of central importance. CEO Joel Oschatz: “Based on a very good partnership with Canon, we have decided to expand our activities into additional markets. LabelStream’s wide range of applications from self-adhesive labels to printing on cardboard, variable data printing and the enlarged colour space are strong arguments for our customers.
