Canon Software uniFLOW online and A4 office system portfolio expanded

Thursday 17. September 2020 - Canon is updating its uniFLOW online document management software and the successful imageRUNNER ADVANCE and i-SENSYS print and multifunctional ranges. The company is thus responding to the latest market developments and customer requirements. Efficiency, productivity and especially mobility - printing from anywhere to anywhere - are the main focus. This, too, is a reaction to the homeofficialisation of the working world.

i-SENSYS X-Series with eight new models
The latest updates to uniFLOW online, Canon’s cloud-based output management solution, offer new possibilities. The integrated automation is ideal for businesses that require more productive document workflows across multiple sites and makes managing documents via the cloud even easier. uniFLOW online 2020.2 reduces administrative overhead and eliminates errors, saving valuable business time and resources.
This latest version of the software offers a new “Filing Assist” function for the entire imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX portfolio, an innovative solution for automated identification and storage of scanned documents. Details of the scan, such as the document type or company name, are digitally extracted and immediately named and stored in the right place in the cloud. Machine learning can also be used to teach the software to recognise common business documents to support faster automatic filing next time.
New A4 series imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX and i-SENSYS X added to the portfolio
The A3 series of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX portfolio, introduced in Spring 2020, is now being expanded with new A4 series: the C477 series, C257/C357 series and 717/617/527 series. The small footprint of these A4 models offers greater flexibility within an office system fleet without compromising productivity. The new series are perfect for use as a departmental system for small and medium-sized businesses, or for collaboration in shared offices – so-called coworking environments.
Unified firmware platform supports innovation
The entire imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX series now also benefits from the 3.11 update of the Unified Firmware Platform. In particular, compatibility with Microsoft’s Universal Print Service offers new possibilities for managing printers or entire fleets with less IT effort. The Unified Firmware Platform is at the heart of all imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX systems and enables regular technology upgrades – even for systems already installed.
