Canon launches ultra-compact A3 desktop scanner to help streamline business processes
Monday 09. June 2014 - Canon Europe, world-leader in imaging solutions, today launches the imageFORMULA DR-M1060, an ultra-compact A3 desktop scanner. The new device helps busy office departments with a wide range of document capture requirements to digitise and process documents more productively.
Based on the same successful design as Canon’s imageFORMULA DR-M140, the imageFORMULA DR-M1060 provides users with a uniquely compact footprint for A3 scanning. Characteristic of this design are the device’s two document feeding options, a U-turn path and straight path. These ensure the device is not just remarkably compact for working environments where space is paramount, but also exceptionally versatile and convenient for handling a wide range of media – from thin paper to thick ID cards and even up to 3m long documents.
The robust imageFORMULA DR-M1060 also offers high speed scanning of up to 60ppm in colour and a range of features designed to further increase office productivity. Advanced image processing features such as text enhancement, auto colour detection, page size detection and deskew come as standard, providing organisations with more accurate scans and less need for editing time. Accuracy is further enhanced by the device’s new paper feed sensors, which detect feed errors and instantly stop the scanning process to avoid critical damage to the document.

The imageFORMULA DR-M1060 is bundled with a suite of professional software* for processing business documents, including quick connectivity to SharePoint, saving files to PDF-A for long-term archiving and PDF editing tools. The scanner’s capabilities can be further enhanced through optional accessories such as an A3 Flatbed Scanner 201, A4 Flatbed Scanner 101, and Barcode Modules.
The imageFORMULA DR-M1060 will be available though all Canon sales channels from June 2014.
