SUN Studio opens in New York

Monday 30. December 2013 - Now companies and designers as well as the public in the "city that never sleeps" can enjoy unlimited printing on a multitude of materials not possible before

IQDEMY, a group of leading companies uniting the world’s best practices and expertise in the digital large format marketplace, is proud to announce that one of its new franchises has opened in New York, USA, adding yet another expression of art to the colourful and cheerful atmosphere of the iconic city on the Hudson River.
SUN Studio New York is a member of the international network of IQDEMY’s art centers for UV printing and design that has been established in more than 21 countries around the world. The studio has already taken and delivered its first orders.
The first executed jobs have already caught much interest by potential clients whereby several glass manufacturers expressed high interest in the unique possibilities of printing on glass. Sun Studio New York’s equipment from IQDEMY enables the company to apply any image to glass surfaces. Clients can choose monochrome, full-colour pictures and even photos. In addition to applying print and printed elements onto glass elements for windows, furniture and cabinets or office partitions, the printer enables printing on many other substrates such as stone, wood, plastic, metal, ceramic tiles, fabrics, canvas, plaster and much more.
The environmentally friendly UV LED technology enables “cool printing” as the emitted heat from the LEDs is below 30°C thus accommodating heat sensitive materials. It enables precise printing on a wide variety of materials. Additionally, IQDEMY’s layered printing produces compelling haptic images that catch the eye of the onlooker.
“We want to make yet another difference to the already vast art scene in the ‘Big Apple’ and straight after opening we already received some significant orders”, says Philip Nak, director of SUN Studio New York. “Our work and printing possibilities have been well received and we are sure that our services will make some further impact in this bustling city and surrounds.”
Today, there are more than 120 SUN Studio art centers around the world among them China, UAE, France, Oman, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and other countries. The offered services by franchisees are highly valued, not only among traditional print buyers but also the interior market, furniture production, glass and advertising industries.
