Cooley Commercial Graphics Announces European Expansion

Wednesday 03. July 2013 - Increased Demand for Cooley's Sustainable, Non-PVC Print Media Solutions Necessitates Opening European Headquarters

Cooley Group, a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of banner and signage substrates and other high-performance fabric solutions, today announced the official opening of Cooley’s Commercial Graphics European headquarters, as a response to the rising demand for the company’s non-PVC, high-quality, environmentally sustainable, print media solutions. Headquartered in the U.S., Cooley’s European headquarters will be located in Siegen, Germany. Cooley Commercial Graphics new Director, EMEA, Volker Mueller, will have leadership responsibility for Cooley Commercial Graphics in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
The announcement comes on the heels of the recently announced collaboration with HP, which enables Cooley to develop, manufacture, and globally distribute its recyclable, non-PVC banner solutions utilizing ColorPRO Technology for use with HP Latex and UV Inks. Solutions with the ColorPRO designation perform to a strict set of specifications to meet industry-leading performance and sustainability standards.
“The demand for non-PVC solutions worldwide that are more sustainable for the environment – as well as increase productivity and provide higher quality – has nearly doubled over the past three years,” said Bryan Rose, Vice President and General Manager of Cooley Commercial Graphics Division. “As one of the only companies in the world to have successfully addressed this demand, Cooley is uniquely positioned to help the European market make the transition from PVC to non-PVC materials without compromising performance.”
Cooley’s award-winning, recyclable products are optimized to provide customers with higher- quality and enhanced print performance equal to vinyl products but with a lower environmental impact than traditional PVC materials.
With an 85-year history, Cooley has long been active in the collaborating and manufacturing of iconic innovations for the European market, including the Enviroflex PE (non-PVC) material used to wrap London’s 2012 Olympic Stadium. The initiative was part of a larger goal to create the most sustainable Olympic Games in history.
Cooley is currently showcasing its latest innovations at the 2013 FESPA show at the ExCel London Exhibition Centre, booth # M15N.
