Roland DG shows new flagship at Viscom 2012

Tuesday 04. September 2012 - For Roland DG, this year Viscom will be all about a completely new device which will be placed on the market on September 12th. Due to its versatility and unique properties, this device will be the new mainstay of Roland DG. Efficiency and added value are the key concepts. In addition, the company is launching a new ink. Plenty of reasons therefore to pay a visit to Booth F41 in Hall 3.0.

More information about this new device and the ink cannot be provided until the second week of September. However, the other devices Roland DG will show on its booth are known. A lot of attention on the stand is given for instance to the VersaArt RE-640. This printer is 64″ (163 cm) wide and uses Eco-Sol MAX inks. This machine’s most important features are the high print speed and exceptional print quality. The device is attractively priced and comes with an excellent ROI.
Moreover Roland DG will display its VersaCAMM VS series. The devices are able to both print and cut and can be equipped with metallic and white Eco-Sol MAX ink. These devices are used for diverse applications including window decoration, posters, labels and packaging prototypes. Also the desktop printer/cutter BN-20 will be on display. The latter can be operated with metallic or white ink.
Furthermore visitors to the trade fair will witness two UV printers at work: the LEJ-640 and the LEF-12. These devices are UV LED technology driven. The ink is immediately dry and prints that can be processed without further delay. The ink is available in the standard colours plus white and transparent. If different layers of transparent ink are printed on top of each other, a relief or structure is created. In addition, the transparent ink can give both a mat and a glossy finish to prints. The LEJ-640 is a 64″ wide UV printer which can print both on plates and rolls. De LEF-12 UV printer is used to print designs on objects with a maximum height of 10 cm making it the ideal device to print on prototypes and gadgets.
The power of creative applications
Roland DG attaches a great deal of importance to showing creative applications at its booth: “Over recent years, every trade fair has been characterised by an extensive variety of applications which have been developed using our equipment. As such, packaging prototypes, personalised textile and unique gadgets are on display. Our goal is to inspire the visitors to our booth by showing them the possibilities of our devices. We want to help them in their quest for exploring new markets and opportunities. The same goal applies to our Creative Centres. In Willich, near Düsseldorf, there is such a Centre. Throughout the year, this vast showroom is accessible for dealers and others who are interested. Just make an appointment by calling +49 (0)2154 8877 95,” says Timo Keersmaekers, Marketing Manager at Roland DG Benelux.
