JOIN MANROLAND AT NORTHPRINT TO FUTUREPROOF YOUR BUSINESS AND DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF PROFITABLE PRINT
Tuesday 22. March 2011 - At Northprint 2011, manroland will be using Stand B212 (next to the Litho Technology Theatre) to demonstrate how commercial and packaging printers can FutureProof their businesses and extract maximum value and profit from print.
Regular presentations and hands-on demonstrations will be focused on showing how printers can dramatically enhance print productivity and quality by investing in manrolands cutting-edge press technologies, on-press workflow and quality assurance solutions, support services as well as its extensive range of pressroom products including respected industry brands such as Vulcan and printcom blankets and RotaDyne rollers.
Returning to Northprint for the first time since 2007, manroland representatives will be on hand throughout the three days of the show to discuss the latest developments in manrolands Secrets of Profitable Print product range including:
· the ROLAND 200 H LV small format press with extended delivery and integrated coating module;
· the newly-designed ROLAND 700 HiPrint HS hi-speed medium format workhouse capable of producing up to 18,000 sheets an hour. The HS is built on DirectDrive technology, manrolands multi-tasking, and multiple-award winning champion; and
· the ROLAND 900 XXL perfector, a Format 7B and 8 perfecting press offering a maximum sheet size of 1,310 x 1,870 millimetres and prints 64 A4 pages in one pass.
Information on products and services from manrolands printcom and printservices divisions including 24/7 remote diagnostics, pro-active press maintenance packages and the latest additions to manrolands pressroom product range – environmental spill control solutions from Lubetech – will all be available on the stand. Visitors will have an opportunity to book in for a free pressroom audit from manroland, which involves a manroland printcom expert visiting the print house to assess equipment and pressroom product usage and advising on the best course of action to ensure the print production process is as efficient as possible. manroland executives will also be on hand to discuss the latest developments in the recently announced manroland/Océ partnership, which is currently being rolled out in the UK.
Says Norman Revill, Managing Director, manroland GB: “As an organisation, manroland has entered 2011 full of positivity and enthusiasm, with an outstanding range of new products to drive into the market, all of which can help printers future proof their investment in printing technology. This is represented most succinctly in our Secrets of Profitable Print campaign, which we officially launched in December 2010 and has so far received a very positive response from printers and the industry in general.
“The Secrets of Profitable Print campaign is all about showing the real added value print can achieve when great creative thinking has the printing technology to support it, and our InlineFoiler Prindor cold foiler is an excellent example of exactly this. The eye catching, dynamic results of this system are nothing short of outstanding and mean that both the designer and the printer are only limited by their imagination when it comes to foiling. What they conceive can be achieved – quickly and cost effectively.”
manrolands growing portfolio of on-press automation and management technologies, including the QuickChange range and intelligent colour and quality management tools such as InlineColorPilot and manrolandColor – which offers printers the chance to print CMYK and two or more specials in a single pass – as well as the companys material logistics system, AUPASYS, and waste management solution will also be represented on the stand, with the manroland team available to discuss the productivity benefits of each of these solutions.
Samples of manrolands value-added printing such as glasses free 3D prints and cold foil-enhanced and embossed print will be on prominent display, all demonstrating the broad range of added value products that can be printed on manroland presses.
Finally, manroland will use Northprint to highlight the benefits of its futureproof package, introduced at IPEX 2010, which aims to protect printers investments in press technology by providing them with a selection of technology options that can be retrofitted to the press in the future as demand requires. Printers can ask for on-stand demonstrations of the companys latest additions to its application tool kit, the new eco-meter and investment calculator, both of which can be used to evaluate current production capabilities to ensure that the next investment made is the right one for each business. And on the business consultancy side, manroland will present its PreAct solution from printnet, used to monitor overall press performance on a monthly basis throughout the year. PreAct provides printers with a full data report, which indentifies the areas for improvement in order to ensure optimum press performance.
At the Litho Technology Theatre next door to the stand, manroland will be hosting a 45 minute seminar entitled “Future Proofing Your Business”. This will include a presentation from manroland customer and a ROLAND 500 user, Harry Skidmore MBE, CEO of Easibind International, a company renowned for its innovative approach to printing on a wide variety of substrates, including glasses free 3D and animation. Harry Skidmore will look at ways printers can add maximum value to print; outline what to consider when looking to invest in a new press and the benefits to the bottom line of printing companies gaining environmental credentials. The seminar will run each day at 12.30 and is free to attend.
Concludes Mr Revill: “Were very pleased to be exhibiting at Northprint this year. Its a great exhibition with a very proud heritage and deserves to be supported by all of us in the UK print industry. manroland has a strong customer base in the north of the UK, so the show will provide us with a great platform to meet with our loyal customers and those considering investing in manroland technology from all over the country.”
