M&R Introduces the Eco-Tex

Wednesday 09. March 2011 - Automatic Screen-Cleaning and Reclaiming System

M&R is pleased to announce the addition of the new Eco-Tex to M&R’s extensive line of ancillary equipment.
M&R’s Eco-Tex automates and simplifies the entire screen-cleaning process, and it handles screens up to 132 x 97 cm (52″ x 38″). Its electric conveyor delivers dirty screens to the chamber and sends clean screens out. Eco-Tex reduces environmental impact and lowers operating costs by recirculating screen-cleaning chemicals. Users have the option of removing ink while leaving the emulsion intact, or of completely stripping ink, emulsion, and other residue from screens. Solvents are automatically pumped back to the holding tank—for reuse—after each cleaning cycle, reducing chemical use and lowering the cost of operation. After cleaning, Eco-Tex rinses both sides simultaneously with a high-pressure fresh-water power wash.
The entire procedure takes place in a single automatic cycle—and in a single chamber. However, since Eco-Tex is modular, an additional chamber can be added to handle ink washing in one chamber and screen reclaiming in the other. A single-chamber Eco-Tex can clean up to 100 screens per shift (two screens per cycle). The dual-chamber model nearly doubles that. In addition, a specially-designed stainless-steel chase holds up to fifteen squeegee holders, flood bars, or spatulas, allowing Eco-Tex to automatically take care of this otherwise labor-intensive process.
The easy-to-clean Eco-Tex filtration system prevents foreign matter from contaminating cleaning chemicals and jet nozzles. Eco-Tex has no external moving parts, and it eliminates direct employee exposure to the cleaning process. It’s economical to operate, and it helps shops keep screen-cleaning/reclaiming areas clean.
