M&R Introduces Intermediate & Jumbo-Size Alpha 8 Models

M&R is pleased to announce the addition of the new Alpha 8 6080 and 80110 models to its line of automatic textile presses. The new models join the smaller Alpha 8 5070.

Thursday 14. May 2009 - M&R is pleased to announce the addition of the new Alpha 8 6080 and 80110 models to its line of automatic textile presses. The new models join the smaller Alpha 8 5070.

Although the Alpha 8 5070—with it’s 50 x 70 cm (20″ x 28″) maximum image area has been wildly popular, screen printers asked for larger sizes. M&R responded with the Alpha 8 6080 and Alpha 8 80110. Alpha 8 6080 provides a maximum image area of 60 x 84 cm (24″ x 33″); Alpha 8 80110 provides a maximum image area of 80 x 110 cm (31.5″ x 43.5″).

According to M&R CEO, Rich Hoffman, “The Alpha 8 6080’s 84 cm (33″) maximum print-stroke length makes it especially suitable for All-Over-Print (AOP)-type output, enabling the press to cover the full length of many of the larger style t-shirts that are currently in fashion. The larger Alpha 8 80110 excels on cut-piece goods and all-over prints, but easily converts to standard-size T-shirt printing.”

Both models incorporate a wider-set print carriage, enhancing print quality and stability on wider prints. Double-index mode on alternating printheads can produce images up to 99 x 84 cm (39″ x 33″) on the 6080, and a phenomenal 150 x 110 cm (59.0″ x 43.5″) on the 80110.

The 8-station Base/Drive Modules support up to 6 printheads, while M&R’s Plug & Print modular design provides for expansion—in six-station increments—up to 62 stations on Alpha 8 5070 & 6080, and up to 32 stations on Alpha 8 80110. Other than the end stations, there are no restrictions on printhead placement. All other stations can support printheads—and any station can be left open. Alpha 8 presses even allow users to change the placement of load/unload stations for maximum efficiency, and the Alpha 8 5070 and 6080 leave the front of the pallet and the pallet arm assembly free of obstruction, allowing them to easily handle almost any type of item.

These three models, with their expandable, changeable configuration; efficient design; and high production speed constitute the most versatile presses on the market today.
