SCA hands over customer portfolio to Schur

Wednesday 29. December 2010 - Having sold the cardboard packaging company in Skovlunde we from SCA have decided in future to concentrate on our core competence - i.e. products produced from corrugated board as well as Point of Sales/instore solutions.

The packaging industry is characterized by fierce competition and it has been difficult for us to make this part of our business profitable. In continuation of this decision it has been vital for us that the cardboard packaging customers we have served from Vejle also in the years ahead will get a good service and the best possible security of supply concerning future deliveries. Thus we have contacted Schur, a company with proud traditions within cardboard packaging production and experts within this type of packaging to clarify if the company would take over the print material and cutting dies in order to service our cardboard packaging customers in the future.
We from Schur were happy that SCA contacted us and we are pleased with the positive dialogue we have had and we look forward to continuing the co-operation with SCA’s customers. In February and March we will pay joint visits to the customers in order to make sure that the change of suppliers takes place in the best possible way and without inconvenience. We will do our best to live up to the customers’ expectations and look forward to a long-term co-operation.
