MANROLAND APPOINTS NEW AREA SALES MANAGER FOR MIDLANDS

Friday 16. July 2010 - manroland GB has appointed Tony Caulfield as its new area sales manager for the Midlands, Norfolk and Suffolk. Caulfield, who officially started with manroland on the first day of Ipex 2010, has over 30 years’ experience in frontline press sales in the UK, including, most recently, 21 years as frontline regional sales executive for Heidelberg.

He has been appointed to further bolster the expanding manroland sales team and support the company’s ambitious five-year growth strategy.

Says Tony Caulfield, Area Sales Manager, manroland GB: “In a highly competitive marketplace, all printers are looking for intelligent ways add value to their product portfolio, so they can further strengthen their relationships with customers and increase profitability. And as its stand at Ipex 2010 showed, manroland has this value-added proposition at the centre of its focus for printers.

“Since starting in May, I have been extremely impressed with manroland’s commitment to its customers and the way it works so closely with them to both understand their needs and provide advice and consultation on how they can maximise their investment in manroland presses. And, when you combine this with the strength of the technology itself, there is a very strong and comprehensive package to take to market. There is still considerable opportunity out there for press manufacturers that are truly customer-focused and customers and contacts I have spoken to so far have been very receptive and open to discussing how manroland can work with them.”

Says Norman Revill, Managing Director, manroland GB: “With over three decades in the UK printing industry, Tony’s experience and contacts are invaluable. He understands how the market has changed and what printers and manufacturers must do to ensure we all adapt and thrive in the future. Tony will be working closely with our Commercial Sales Manager, Adam Robotham and me to ensure manroland continues to build on its strong customer base in the Midlands, Norfolk and Suffolk.

“We have a solid plan for growth in a number of key areas over the next five years and the central belt of England is a key region for us moving forward, so we’re pleased to have such an experienced sales manager in place to help drive manroland’s value-added proposition into this market.”
